I hope my co-workers do not mind that I will be ignoring them in favor of watching the basketball tournament on NCAA Sports.com. I am so excited! I finished my bracket last night. I usually do the bracket for both Art and myself but this year, Art and I are competing!

My Final Four - North Carolina (ew), Vanderbilt, Texas and UCLA.

Finals - UNC vs. UCLA with UCLA coming out on top. I think Kevin Love is the real deal and is ready to roll.

My spoiler is Baylor, who I have going all the way to the Elite 8.

I just remembered why I don't cook very often. I was putting tomato sauce into a hot pan and it splashed back and I burned my finger. OW.

I am so fascinating it hurts.

Yesterday was awesome as long as I kept forgetting that sweetcynic23 was flying away. I have co-dependence issues if you didn't realize that already! Art and I went out with his bestie to a bar (that happened to be at a MALL, best of both worlds!) to watch the NCAA tournament's second round. We had a total blast and I even had fun despite being the designated driver (totally my choice!). Those were some great games yesterday, except the UCLA game which was so boring it couldn't keep two drunks entertained. I was sad to see Washington State get the boot but that double overtime was the best basketball I've seen in a long while. Today's games were good, too, I can't believe that UNLV beat Wisconsin - that is just fantastic. I am IGNORING that USC beat Texas. Dammit, Longhorns! You were supposed to knock them out.

Hey, hey, hey - I don't know if I have any game show fanatics on my friends list (I'm a junkie!) but did you all hear that Jeopardy! had a three-way tie on Friday? I think that's pretty awesome. I need to remember to definitely tune in on Monday to see who comes out on top.

Oh, hey hey, guess what? I bought tickets to see The Decemberists with the L.A. Philharmonic in July. I have never had the opportunity to see The Decemberists before and I am way excited.

Ella has this ADORABLE habit of chewing my shoes. Though it's less adorable and more say, RAGE INDUCING. Obvs, my high dollar shoes are kept away from her voracious jaws, but I went through a lazy period and she managed to ruin every last pair of flip flops I own. Seriously, I wore the opposite shoe of two separate pairs of flip flops to Tam's sister's house last weekend. It was...embarrassing.

So today, feeling a need for retail therapy (and totally spurred on by blahblahologist's adorable new flats), I went to my local cheap shoe store and found these:

HOW CUTE ARE THEY? I totally have an outfit to match, too. I am even more excited about going out for beers and basketball tomorrow now.

Back to work. I am trying to forget that after I am off I have to go say good-bye to Heather for three weeks! Damn vacations!

Oh yeah: Thank GOD I didn't fill out a NCAA bracket this year. I have never been so far off with picks in my LIFE. Damn you Long Beach State!
