This Week in SYTYCD Rage

I'm feeling a lot better about SYTYCD this week and I think it's because Nigel finally made me mad. It just wasn't right to me to not want him to die. Which is probably a poor choice of words considering he just had surgery but anyway...let's get on with this.

As for the routines, my favorite's week was Melissa/Ade's rumba. Maybe it wasn't the most technically perfect (and that's only because I was told it wasn't, I didn't spot anything except for the one tiny bobble at the end) but it SMOLDERED. I feel like one of the big problems this season is with chemistry and these two have it in droves. It made the dance come alive. I also liked Jeanette and Brandon's hip-hop (?) which was really well danced despite the fact that Jeanette's personality makes me cringe. I haven't seen such an annoying face puller/mugger since Lauren in Season 3. Sticking your tongue out constantly does not make you a badass. Everything else was just all right for me. I liked Mia's dance a lot better the second time around because the first time I was SO distracted by Evan's horrible costuming. Seriously he looked like Andy Capp. A even creepier, drunker Andy Capp. Costuming is definitely not his fault so I don't blame him, I think he did very well in that number. I do feel like Evan is hobbled somehow by Randi's marital status. Like I feel like he is overly respectful and it hampers their chemistry. Randi doesn't seem to mind, she goes all out each week and she's the one with the husband! And while I appreciate Evan's sense of honor, it doesn't make for very exciting dancing.

As for the eliminations last night, I am mostly ok with them. I would have much preferred Caitlin going over Asuka but really neither of them are growing so it doesn't really matter. But I am so tired of Caitlin, she is killing Jason. She is way too cutesy in her routines, she never really hits the right tempo. She just so happens to be very good at saving herself and Nigel wants her around. I am starting to agree with harper47 that she and Jason might not have the greatest partnership.

I'm thrilled Jonathan is gone. He should be so grateful to Stacy Tookey for gifting him that extra week in the competition with her fab contemporary routine. But then Nigel ripped Vitolio a new one and I don't know how justified it was. I'm irritated that Vitolio is praised for the choreographed routines and they tell him he is clearly progressing and showing more of himself but then is told he nearly went home because he is holding back in his solo's. Come on. There is that Nigel rage I enjoy so much. Regardless, Vitolio made it and I'm hoping he and Karla make a good partnership and do well next week. I think I can actually like Karla know that Jonathan is gone.

I woke up this morning STUNNED that 4th of July is a week from Saturday. Where is time going? I think I am sleeping my life away.

<lj-embed id="17" /><lj-embed id="18" /><lj-embed id="19" /><lj-embed id="20" />

Pop Quiz! Three guesses and the first two don't count.

Who wants to guess what happened when I got way too lazy/busy/whatever to get a refill on my birth control prescription? Let's not get too personal here, but forgetting to take a pill or neglecting to fill a prescription for say, MONTHS is something I have done A LOT in the time I have been married. Oh, okay and before I was married. And there have been no consequences! UNTIL NOW!

I'm totes pregnant. Knocked up. Bun in the oven. Art and I are expecting a child in December. I KNOW, RIGHT?! A human being. Lord help us all.

Maybe the sheer force of will of not wanting to have children kept me safe before. (THAT'S A JOKE. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY FAMILY PLANNING ADVICE FROM ME). But we let our guard down and changed our minds and next thing you know, we're prepping to be parents. It's taken time to get used to the whole idea, but we are feeling blessed.

Anyway...pregnancy blows for reals and so far has been no picnic. I throw up every time I brush my teeth, which one day last week led me to throw out my back. ONLY ME, I SWEAR. I can take absolutely none of my regular back meds so I mostly sat on the couch last week and cried. I actually used frozen veggies as an ice pack. My cute smaller sized jeans are already in the "cannot wear anymore" pile and I'm forced back into my "roomier" jeans. Fat pants, ok, I'm wearing my fat pants. It's a <s>tiny</s> bit demoralizing but I just chant, "good cause, good cause." I'll order food that sounds amazing, it will show up in front of me and my body will say, "nice try." Suddenly I no longer want whatever it is that I've ordered. Unless it's a hamburger. Good times. Also, living without sushi is not a life I fully enjoy. I am exhausted all the time. In fact, I am up right now because I slept pretty much all day. I woke up pretty much only to enjoy the flowers Art bought me and the pizza he ordered for "Sort of a Mother" Mother's Day. That's my phrasing, not his. Ok, I should stop complaining. But my god, I love complaining.

So that's what's been going on with me! I really need to get to bed, keep reminding myself that I am not off tomorrow.

    <lj:music>Adele</lj:music>

Hello, HELLO! I am in a great mood this morning, I fancied up for work (even wearing HEELS), took the time to get a vanilla latte from Starbucks before work, Jason's show was (probably) picked up for air on HBO, AND it's the last day of this godforsaken year!

I had a whole Christmas post, but I probably won't post it because I am lazy and everyone's probably tired of Christmas by now. But I had a very nice one, I got a tree (my first in five years!) and we went to see family and Art bought me exactly what I wanted, a Blackberry Storm and Heather (my Team Logan Secret Santa) bought me the other thing I wanted, Gossip Girl season 1 on DVD. And the Chargers made the playoffs which rules, but now they have to play superbonbon4's boo Peyton Manning, which sucks (I LOVE the Manning's).

BUT! IT's the end of the year, and despite all the work literally PILED on my desk, I am doing this end of the year meme. Smell ya later, 2008, you sucked and ruled and sucked some more. GOOD RIDDANCE. Come on, 2009.

1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
So many things, but I'm most proud that I bought and financed a car under my own name. Lesson for the kiddies: protect that credit score!

2. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any, but I am going to make some for this year. Like, be more open. Post in this LJ at least once a week. Be an effective supervisor. Exercise!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
YES! My best friend from childhood, chellepear had her second baby, a little girl, in September. I haven't met her yet but I am hoping to get up to visit very soon.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No and here's wishing for the same in 2009.

5. What countries did you visit?
Why do you have to remind me that I still don't have a passport? Rude.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Stability! There was SO much change in 2008, I need some time to get used to everything.

7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 2nd, the day Art and I separated
Aug 9th, the day I first tried Trader Joe's Veggie Chips
Oct 9th, the day Art and I reconciled

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
You know what? I achieved a TON this year: I bought my car, learned how to live by myself for the first time, got promoted to department head, lost 20 pounds, and worked hard to get my marriage back on track. Whew!

9. What was your biggest failure?
I haven't been as good a friend as I could have been. I really need to work on repairing relationships.

10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
My back gave me a ton of trouble this year, I was out of work a few weeks overall and had to go back to physical therapy. Not fun!

11. What was the best thing someone bought you?
My awesome new Blackberry that I love with all my heart!

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Kesha, who dropped everything to drive down to LA when I needed her and listened to me cry and complain all year and Heather, who stayed with me every weekend while I was separated so I wouldn't be lonely.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
I never answer this question if I can help it.

14. Where did most of your money go?
BILLS. Gross.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
So You Think You Can Dance, my new job, going to see Beck, TWILIGHT! hahahah

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Estelle's "American Boy"
Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole" (Two words: Vampire. Baseball.)
One Republic's "Stop and Stare" (I sing it obnoxiously everytime I heard it)
Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love"

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? happier!
b) fatter or skinnier? slightly skinnier, I've gained some weight back now that my diet has more variety than just canned tuna, green salad, dill pickles and veggie chips.
c) richer or poorer? Richer because I've been promoted! And I get a cost-of-living raise next month! Cha-ching!

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
traveling, visiting faraway friends, volunteering

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
worrying, crying, spending money I don't have

20. How do you plan to spend Christmas?
on the MOON

21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
YES. Well, technically, I was never out of love, but I gained a deeper love for Art this year.

22. How many one night stands?
NONE!

23. What was your favourite TV program?
Gossip Girl, The Office, So You Think You Can Dance, How I Met Your Mother.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't think so, but being a Hater is a full-time job for me, so maybe.

25. What was the best book you read?
I loved Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd the most, I think.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery of the year?
Adele!

27. What did you want and get?
a new job

28. What did you want and not get?
A John Edwards I could believe in.

29. What was your favourite film of this year?
For Realsies: Slumdog Millionaire; For Pure Entertainment: Twilight

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 30! I had a FANTASTIC birthday party in Las Vegas with a bunch of my friends and it was perfect. I got a great birthday book put together by Heather and Kesha, Kesha hired a professional photographer to take pictures, we had great meals and it was everything I wanted. I am so grateful to everyone who made it happen.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Less drama!

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Lazy and comfortable. I need to step it up next year - and I WILL.

33. What kept you sane?
My therapist?

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
JACKSON RATHBONE. Yes, sir. I also enjoyed all the exploits of Rob Pattinson.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
The democratic primaries. Proposition 8. I will never be as fully satisfied with Election Day as I should've been!

36. Who do you miss?
lapses

37. Who was the best new person you met?
Dr. Barbie, my therapist. She is amazing, smart, and a snazzy dresser. Oh, and helped me navigate this year's ups and downs.

38. What was the best thing you ate?
TRADER JOE'S VEGGIE CHIPS. I ate them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Currently, I don't have any in the house but as soon as I get out of work I am going to get some. There is an empty bag IN MY CAR right now.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008?
Trust yourself but let people help you when you need it.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up the year.
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides
Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united
Hometown Glory - Adele

Happy New Year! Please be careful out there.

<lj:music>The baptism of Connie's son on The Godfather</lj:music>

I am so lazy. Goddamned turkey and wine! Now we're watching The Godfather marathon on AMC.

This is what I am most thankful for this year. Art and I reconciled early last month and now we are living together again as a family. The love, support, and sheer kindness I received during our separation will be something I will never forget and is something I will always be grateful for. Thank you.

So...who is going shopping this weekend??

    <lj:music>Wada Na Tod - Lata Mangeshkar</lj:music>

Ok, so I fell asleep on my couch somewhere in the 9 o'clock hour during the Lakers game, then was RUDELY disturbed and now I am not tired in the slightest. Bummer.

I heard that people were upset that there wasn't MORE talk about Twilight on their friend's lists so I'm here to fill your void (she says, tongue firmly in cheek). Tomorrow I'm seeing it again with more of Team Logan and sitting in on a Q&A with the director, Catherine Hardwicke.

Can I just say right now that the most disappointing part of my movie experience was realizing that the awesome Emmett line of, "This is wrong, Edward, she's not one of us" was cut out? I couldn't wait for that part and then...nothing. Overall, I enjoyed the movie (note I didn't say it was actually "good") and I definitely think it would be really boring for someone who has never read the novel. I think casting did a great job all around, the secondary characters were excellent surprises. I feel like in the novel Bella is mostly disdainful of her classmates and not having to deal with her crap attitude towards them made it so much easier for the screenwriter to flesh them out and let the audience enjoy them. In fact, I think that Bella is infinitely more likeable in the movie since a lot of her more ridiculous qualities aren't included. Did it stop me from actively rooting for her death? OF COURSE NOT! Hating Bella is way too much fun for me.

Anyway, I had a lot of complaints, the movie is edited very strangely, there's not really enough time to make things any sort of believable but given the source material, that's sort of expected. The timeline just moved way too quickly, I think the movie would have really benefited from a longer cut, maybe even just ten minutes. There is not enough of the Cullens at all, which makes me feel like the fantastic casting was kind of wasted. And ALSO what kind of lame-ass sparkling was THAT? I wanted DAZZLE, dammit!

I loved the vampire baseball scene, and I thought RPATTZ really sold his extremely lame dialogue in the meadow scene. I didn't even laugh at the "As if you could out run me..." business. Though, I admit to an eyeroll at the "lion fell in love with the lamb" business. Somethings cannot be helped. Like Taylor's wig.

One last thing: I kind of love this slideshow from NYMag.com about how the movie is better than the book: Twlight slideshow.

Ok, now that's done time to get my cred back: in the last few weeks I've seen Rachel Getting Married and Slumdog Millionaire. Both were absolutely fantastic highlighted by great performances, with the former being relatable and heart-wrenching and the latter being especially amazing all around. Slumdog is so far my favorite movie this year. I am really impressed by the performance Dev Patel delivers, especially since I had convinced myself he was playing a version of himself in Skins. In the very near future I'm going to see the French film A Christmas Tale and then the Oscar heavy hitters will start to open up and all the chagrin will finally be removed from my system. FOR NOW.

I'll admit it, the only reason I bought tickets was to see Mark Kanemura dance live. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I really enjoyed the whole show. It helped that the crowd was really energetic and into it, screaming loudly for their favorite dancers and giving standing ovations when a dance they loved from the show was performed. I might have chosen different dances than a lot of the ones highlighted but that's because I am 1) a hater, and 2) totally biased. Like come ON, only one Mark and Chelsie number??

Under the cut are the few basically passable photos that I took.

For those that care and don't already know, Mark danced "The Garden" with Courtney, "Time of My Life" with Courtney, "Party People" with Comfort, "5 Guys Named Moe" with the Top 5 Guys, "Bleeding Love" with Chelsie, the group Bollywood number, the Top 16 group dance "The Dance" (aka the one where he was the ringleader), the "Money" group number plus his "Bohemian Rhapsody" solo and the new dances that opened and closed the show. So, I totally understand it's rude of me to ask for MORE MARK, but MORE MARK, PLEASE.

The other Chelsea was there (along with Thayne) as a guest dancer. Her abs are SICK, so I had to take a photo of them.

Comfort only had two dances besides the group numbers so she was behind the microphone introducing other the other dancers most of the night. I realize she didn't have a lot of memorable numbers but I think they could have given her a bit more to do.

MARKY! He was awesome and looked great and seemed to be really enjoying himself. YAY MARK!

Unintentional hilarity during a Courtney/Will routine. To drive the point home about the relationship conveyed in the dance (a woman reminisces about her late husband), they had these ridiculous posed wedding shots of Courtney/Will.

Mark introduces a number alongside Katee (one of the very few times Katee wasn't actually dancing).

Kherington looks terrified of Twitch. Do you think it's because she recognizes him as one of the finalists on Wade Robson's old MTV show, "The Wade Robson Project"? Ok, ok, I'm going to let this go. One of these days. With therapy.

5 Guys Named Moe!

Mark makes a valiant attempt to save us from more Twitch during "Moe." No such luck. I also enjoy how Will is just chillin' in the middle there.

There was a cute interlude in the middle of the show where they talked about how SYTYCD went "international" this year. Gev (again not given enough to do) dressed up in all the costumes and had a cute bit about trying to get Courtney to date him.

Posting this one for April, since she liked the dress and she might want it made for her for Halloween. :D

Bollywood group number!

Gev and Courtney during their Cha Cha routine. Pasha and Anya were there to introduce the number and the crowd went crazy. I think we all hoped they'd dance too, but no go.

Ok, so this photo is a bit creepy (Mark was not kidding about his crooked pinkies!) but it's the only one I managed to get during Bleeding Love. Probably because I was super busy LOSING MY MIND. I think the people in front of me were SO sick of me at this point.

Final number of the night. Mark in the front! Also, I felt a strong urge to purchase a pair of American Apparel socks after this routine. Weird, that.

Also - I am sad to share the evidence of a vandalism that occurred at my apartment a week or so ago. I bought a bunch of The Office goodies at Target and was excited to use my Pam magnetic dry erase board right away. That excitement was short-lived however, when I saw that SOMEONE who will remain nameless but has represented herself as my fake sister in the past and WAS a person I thought I could trust once upon a time commited some criminal mischief! Not to worry, the authorities will be notified of this grave injustice.

    <lj:music>American Boy - Estelle feat. Kanye West</lj:music>

I haven't posted in a super long time, so here are some quick things before Heather and I run out to scour newsstands in the Los Angeles area to find a copy of Interview magazine with that photo of Rob Pattinson in it. Shame? What's that?

Speaking of having no shame, it's almost Fall, so time to reflect on the Summer. Which, was pretty shitty overall for me, but there were some bright spots and silliness that I kind of need to put out there on the internet. Sort of like an atonement! Numbered list, anyone?

Summertime Guilty Pleasures

01. Trader Joe's Veggie Chips. So guilty pleasure is not the right term, really. "Insane addiction" is more appropriate. Heather introduced me to these little salty bastards at the Band From TV show in early August and now, I've been known to eat them for dinner. As in, it's the ONLY THING I EAT FOR DINNER. I split my time between two Trader Joe's so that the staff doesn't know how many bags I go through a week. It's sick, dirty and wrong. But so goooood. And one guy at my local TJ's is kinda hot.

02. I Want to Work for Diddy. VH1's version of "The Apprentice," but with Sean Combs! I didn't think I would watch it because I kind of hate Diddy, but if you hate him it makes the show even MORE enjoyable! He has these weird talking head style interviews where he comes off as some blowhard spouting nonsense. It's hilarious. I was all over this show the first few weeks (transgendered contestant! loud bitchy woman!) but it kind of fizzled out once the new fall tv shows came back. I haven't been paying attention the last couple of weeks.

03. Million Dollar Listing. A show about high end Los Angeles real estate and the agents who sell the properties on Bravo. Not only is it a nice way to check out the mansions with giant price tags and beautiful views but you can laugh and laugh at the antics of these ridiculous agents. I was so sad when this show ended because where else are you going to see an anal retentive prepare for a business trip by packing up his AND his girlfriend's cosmetics in separate plastic baggies or a 21 year old agent taking NYC by storm...with his grandma. Hilarity.

04. Novels, both romance and YA. I have read a ton of "silly beach reads" this summer despite not having made it to the beach one time. But they are so escapist and always have a happy ending! I started breaking out of this a couple weeks ago, picking up Nic Sheff's drug addict memoir, "Tweak," from the library. But, it was so tense and graphic that I put it down in favor of "The Second Assistant," a gossipy roman a clef about working at a Los Angeles talent agency. Also, who wants to hear me complain about how Michael Cera should never have been cast as Nick O'Leary in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist? Because I have been so pissed off about this for WEEKS. It's actually made me like Michael Cera less.

05. Best for last? Maybe. Greg Cipes charmed me at Comic-Con when I sat through his panel for Ben 10: Alien Force, an animated series on Cartoon Network. His personality was just all around funny and silly and at the end of the panel he shouted out that he had a gig that night with his band. Hah! I didn't make it to the gig in San Diego, but Heather and I did seek out his band, Cipes and the People (best name ever, y/y?) a couple weeks later. It was a super enjoyable night of rasta-pop and I still have the cd in my car right now. It's all very Sublime without the drug problems (though a healthy appreciation for weed) and hippie "Love is everything" type of sentiments. It makes me laugh a lot. And I totally got to meet him at the gig. Have a song! Free Me.

Things I didn't do this Summer: 1) finish Breaking Dawn (I refuse!), 2) get overly involved with Big Brother (watched occasionally but still enjoyed it), 3) as so lovingly reminded just now by Heather: get Beck tickets. Still upset about that one.

One last thing: Oh, Jeopardy! not you, too.

    <lj:music>Apology Song - The Decemberists</lj:music>

I am in desperate need of a distraction but don't have a ton of time, so I am going to post about last night's SYTYCD. BUT, I am going to be so lazy and just copy/paste what I wrote to Heather while we watched the show. Which means my biases will be out in full force, so fair warning that I am not being fair.

*I just watched the (hip-hop) routine and when Twitch botched the lift (could he have labored any more to get tiny Courtney up there?) (and of course, they said nothing about it!) I got mad all over again. Marky would have been so awesome in that routine. I am going to be saying that all night. Thank god I have fast forward time because I am not going to listen to a thing Mary says.

*OOH OOH – Snuggle bear!!! “do the moves!” [I don't know if I've mentioned how much I freaking LOVE the Snuggle commercials. I am so lame.]

*OMG – Courtney’s package is making me cry! Aw, she’s really grown. What a tough little cookie.

*OH FUCK – someone take away Wade’s John Mayer cd’s

*My mom is on the phone and she’s arguing with me about Katee vs. Courtney. My mom loves Katee for some reason. But even MOM was like, “I think that Joshua is going to win. He seems pretty popular.” She originally called me to rub it in that Mark was eliminated last week. She’s a GEM. She keeps saying, "Who are you voting for NOW that your favorite was kicked off??" Listen lady, I'm not voting for Katee!

*Ugh. Tyce. WAIT – DO NOT TELL ME THAT TYCE USED RUFUS’ VERSION OF TROLLEY SONG WITH NO VOCAL. He is dead to me. DEAD. [OMG. As if Tyce couldn't get worse - I thought Rufus Wainwright was going to get some great exposure for his Judy concert but NO.]

*Hahahahah – Mandy hated that routine [Tyce's Broadway] but was too chicken shit to say so. HAHAHAHAHAH.

*Wait, was it just me or did Twitch just basically watch Joshua dance that routine [The Trevak]? And Twitch did NO spins, not one Russian (but Josh did THREE). Also – Mandy Moore is obvs into slash: “Watching two men do things on stage…” Okay, Mandy - leave your preferences at the door.

*Could Mary be more in love with Twitch? He is not going to sleep with you, lady.

*That Broadway was probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. And I’m sorry, the Russian dance was good, but not worth the tongue bathing they got. LMAO – this Foxtrot is going to suck isn’t it? HAHAHAHA.

*Katee pretty much hid a ton of Twitch’s flaws on that foxtrot. She was great. And I know I sound like a broken record, but Mark would’ve been AMAZING in that foxtrot. I hate Mary Murphy. I hope to god that one day I am driving a giant SUV and she and Tyce are standing in the street together and then I could run them both over. [Uhhh...so I get kind of violent sometimes. Truly, I'm a pacifist!]

*Ugh. The end of the show pissed me off because of Nigel’s comments. And not even about Mark (because we all know they were never serious about Mark, ugh) but because of Will. You are so right – he was all over Will being in the final four for AAAGES. Now he’s all “america got it right.” What the fuck ever. Then he was like, “Even though Will was a tremendous dancer. ….. (giant pause) And Mark was a tremendous dancer.” LIKE thanks for the afterthought. They are hellbent on making Joshua this “UNTRAINED” (even though he said in his clip package that he took classes in trade for doing chores at the studios) HIP HOP DANCER who magically has amazing dance skills. So pathetic!

Okay - that's all I wrote last night to Heather. We were both a little cranky. The only routine I really enjoyed was Wade's - I still have the ep on my DVR so I can watch it one more time. I actually don't put too much stock in The Chosen One talk but I think the judge's certainly play favorites (as we all do in the viewing audience). I think Josh will win it tonight and it'll be a fine result to a kind of lackluster season. I kind of hope Josh thanks all his dance teachers from over the years when he wins because then I can laugh.

I am SWAMPED at work today and here I thought I'd be able to relax! So if you feel like getting chatty or spammy in the comments, that would be cool. It doesn't have to be about last night's show. Also - I haven't seen PR yet so no spoilers about that!

But I thought about how much I loved it all day and all night and thought about putting aside some money this week and then buying it when I got paid again (my raise will kick in soon enough, right? RIGHT.)

But then, this morning, I went to visit it on the Kenneth Cole website and saw that it was on sale there, FOR 65% OFF! I love it when stuff like this happens!

<lj-embed id="12" />

Wade Robson WHO? Sonya totally ruled SYTYCD last night with this Jazz routine for Mark and Courtney! This is neck and neck with the Bleeding Love number from earlier in the season for my favorite routine of the season. It's the first time I ever legitimately considered Courtney as a real contender in the competition (sorry, Courtney) and her confidence in the routine made me so fearful for Chelsie. They were GREAT!

I'm not getting into the Twitch vs. Mark debate (at least not here, anyway) though I'm sure it is way obvious I would prefer Mark to be in the Final 4 dancers. He has really brightened up this season for me and I just want him to see it through til the end. Like harper47, I don't even care if he wins (not that I think he has a chance), I just want him to be able to compete.

So, I'm thinking Josh and Katee are a lock, who else do you think will round out the Final 4? Will Courtney's late surge put her over Chelsie who has never been in danger? Do you want to debate Mark v. Twitch? Results show tonight cannot GET HERE FAST ENOUGH. Also - who out there is going to the tour?? I am so shamed but I really want to go!

I was like, "Oh, earthquake!" and continued writing. Then we got a big jolt and I was like, "Hmmmmm...." and closed the Gmail window. I turned around to my co-worker and she was already under her desk. I figured if we kept jolting, I'd move and by the time I'd completed that thought, it was over.

Then my Captain announced it was centered near my mom's (and in-law's) places so I've been trying to get a hold of my mom ever since. So far, the lines are too jammed. Art just got through to me and he said he got through to his mom and she's fine, just a few books fell from the shelves. I know 5.8 isn't that strong, but I'd feel better if I could hear my mommy's voice.

EDIT! Got through finally, Mom is good. Whew!

    <lj:music>Island in the Sun - Weezer</lj:music>

I'm home! Well, technically I'm at work but that's the only place I have access to a computer (note to self: no more sketchy looking torrents!) so blah blah no one cares.

Anyways, I wish I were still sleeping off Comic Con. My GOD, it left me so exhausted. Full panel reports will come ... someday. I went to Day the Earth Stood Still, Max Payne, Summit (that's Twilight), was surprised by Hugh Jackman showing brand new X-Men Origins footage (what's UP, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit?), True Blood, Dexter, Stargate Atlantis, Joss Whedon/Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, Ben 10: Alien Force, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Office Writers, Pushing Daisies, Fringe and The Sarah Silverman Program. It was fun but as usual left me questioning if the fun was worth the hassle. Answer: Probably.

Oh, right, I want to talk about SYTYCD real quick:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! Heather and I dialed like telemarketers Wednesday night for Mark. Well, Heather more than I did but that was because I was literally falling asleep while voting. At one point Heather told me to put the phone down and go to sleep. I did, but when C and David came to the hotel, I woke up and started dialing again. And it worked! Mark stays! Now, I would much rather had Josh or Twitch go over Will, but whatever works, you know? And can we talk about the baby fit Twitch had when finding out he was in the Bottom 2? I was mortified for him. You gotta take the bad with the good, son! It made it even worse when he was ultimately declared safe. I'll be interested to see where Will goes once the tour is over. But the focus is back on Mark now! I hope he has a good week. Now we can't say he had a shitty partner and is getting the bum's rush so it's just plain votes. I want him (and Chelsie) to be in the Final 4.

Also - was the Foxtrot really the worst dance of Wednesday night? I thought Chelsie and Josh's Disco pretty awful. Just because Josh can sort of land the lifts doesn't mean it looks good.

I never did find my camera so I didn't take any real photos at Comic-Con and can I admit something? It was really nice to not have to worry about it. I might do the Con camera free from now on. Every panel was well covered by people much more generous than I and so I can go enjoy their photos! Here are a couple of pics I did take.

Full size Twilight poster! I think by the time Heather and I made it to the booth, they were tired of Twilight fans and were just giving everything away to whoever asked. I made it out with this giant version, and a smaller 11x17 version. Yes, for my new cubicle. Shut up.

I opened up my Twilight cards so I could see them, obvs the Edward card is my favorite.

The cardboard cutouts! These things cracked me up to no end. They had one with the 'evil' vampires and then one of Bella and Edward. I thought I'd have a photo of me and Heather with cardboard B&E to post, but we never received our photos. :(

What I did during the majority of panels. It rules so far.

While we were making our final pass through the exhibition hall, Justin Hartley was doing a signing. I don't watch Smallville but he's hot so I snapped a shot.
Let's go, Mark!

Tomorrow is the Twilight panel. I'm honestly terrified. I don't really do fandom for Twilight and Heather's stories about the TwiMoms and the Lexicon weirdos and how hardcore they are make me feel really weary. But, I am interested in that cheesy as hell piece of celluloid and what the actors/director have to say about it, so, I guess I'm gonna have to take a valium and deal.

My main can't miss panel is The Office one on Saturday (MINDY!!!!) and I have yet to actually ever see a Heroes panel so I am going to that, too. I gave up on the show, but I haven't given up on seeing Milo Ventimiglia or Greg Grunberg in person. I think our other musts are Pushing Daisies, the Dr. Horrible panel and evening screening (Oh, NPH, how I love you), Fringe and maybe Dollhouse? I don't know. I'll be Twitter-ing throughout. I'm most excited about hanging out with my Team Logan girls and working on my Slytherin scarf during panels.

<lj:music>Until the End of the World - U2</lj:music>

Heh - I have a ton of work on my desk, but I'm here instead. Ooops.

So, REALLY, Emmy's? Boston Legal (which isn't really even a drama, right?) and Damages, but not The Wire for Best Drama Series? You couldn't even just throw it a token (pun not intended but hey...) nomination in that category?

Anyways, whatever, who cares, it's not like I'm gonna boycott the ceremony or anything.

* * *

So...So You Think You Can Dance

Wow, that was a hot mess of a show, y/n? Chemistry was mostly off the whole night and a lot of the dances were kind of boring. And seriously, can we take the Lite FM station off of Jean-Marc Genereaux's radio dial? Because he picks pretty much the worst songs in the world.

Poor Mark. He and Kherington had a terrible night. That two-step was TERRIBLE, I was really embarrassed for them. And more embarrassed for me to admit this, but I spent a lot of time in country & western clubs when I was in high school (TRUFAX: I had a huge crush on a guy who called himself 'Tex') and so I know what a great two-step is supposed to look like and YES, it's f-ing HARD to pull off convincingly. You cannot fake those turns. I was glad that the judges mostly criticized Kherington for her incorrect partnering. Also, her outfit was really dumb (not her fault). She would have looked way cuter if they had toned down the glitz. Mark looked hot, though. He was a Hawaiian Tex. The jazz was such a snoozer that it's not even worth talking about. Tyce Diorio, just sit down and shut it already. Anyways, I spent a lot of time voting for Mark last night so I hope he squeezes through this week and gets his spark back.

I thought Gev was the most exposed due to the partner changing. He seems to need some time to warm up to partners (see the first week Disco disaster) and now that they are changing weekly it doesn't look good for him. The contemporary was just okay for me, and why would you give such a shorty with average to weak extension those jump turns? He tried but I still couldn't help but wish anyone else was doing those instead. I felt like Chelsie pretty much carried him on her back during the jive, and without Courtney, his entertainment factor is dulled.

I like Will, okay? I don't feel like I like him because the producers want me to, I just think he's a very skilled and a beautiful dancer and I like watching him work. The pas de deux was GORGEOUS (as it should have been, considering they gave it to extremely skilled dancers) but I wasn't crazy about the Broadway (again, Tyce blows). Keeping the dance isolated in the boat made the routine small and it didn't really work for me even though the judges seemed to enjoy it.

I guess I'm done yammering. I'm curious to see if Comfort can scam herself another week.

* * *

Mamma Mia! tonight and I AM SO EXCITED. I have ABBA on my iPod to torture sweetcynic23 with later.

* * *

OH YEAH. So, I went to Starbucks on my way to work this morning because I slept poorly last night and needed some caffeine. When my order was ready, the barista called out, "A soy vanilla latte for... (*reads cup*) Sean!" I stepped up and said, "Is it Susan?" And she says, "Oh, Susan, yeah." I thought, wow, the girl who wrote on my cup must have some funky handwriting, so I look at the cup when I get it, and it looks like this:

I know the poor girl has probably been up for ages but I thought it was funny that she read that as Sean. Damn good latte, though!

* * *

OH HEY - one more thing. My brother called this morning with a question - he was thinking of a video from the 1980's, or early 1990's that took place at a circus or had clowns or a fun house or something like that. I guessed Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" since I knew that was at an amusement park and Usher's "My Way" since I think that has clowns or something but he said it was from earlier than that. Any guesses?

    <lj:music>Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival</lj:music>

Wooo - I just heard from my boss Luther and my unit has released me from my position here and I start my new job on the 28th - right after Comic-Con. Soo, it looks like I might be bailing kind of early on that Sunday so I can get some proper rest. I don't have a ticket for the Con on Sunday anyway so it's not such a big deal. I'm waiting to hear from my new boss so we can talk schedule and start time and objectives and all that. Now that I won't be fighting traffic, I am hoping to start work later in the morning so I don't have to get up so early!

Anyways, that was a detour from what I intended to post. At work, we regularly watch movies during our lunch hour and last week one of the guys brought in this movie, Solstice. I'd never heard of it and wasn't really planning on watching until I saw that it starred Amanda Seyfried and Shawn Ashmore. It was pretty much the worst movie I've seen all year. But in like that "this is so stupid it's funny" way! So actually it was kind of entertaining. It's this faux horror film about teen-agers who have recently lost one of their group to suicide but decide to go to the Louisiana bayou for the summer solstice. THEN the dead friend starts sending messages to her twin sister. OR DOES SHE?? Apparently, it went straight to DVD (not a surprise) so if you ever get super bored I say check it out sometime.

It's movie week out here! Heather and C picked up passes for the Step Brothers premiere and I am not passing up a chance to see John C. Reilly in person so I am tagging along. I'm also going to see Mamma Mia! this week (So excited to see Amanda on the big screen! Singing!) and then OF COURSE The Dark Knight on Friday. Batman is my favorite superhero so I am so ready for this movie to show up and be awesome.

Comic-Con planning is already giving me a headache. But I am COMMITTED to having a good time and not having a stress meltdown like previous years. I also need to remember to stock up on some Lara Bars so I don't die of starvation while waiting for all the panels. Now I just need to decide what day to go get sloshed on post-Con margaritas.

<lj:music>the aggressive whirring of my fan</lj:music>

From a quick glance at my friends list, I am seeing I am a bit out of sync with the show this year. There is serious ranting underneath the cut.

In the words of my very wise sissy, sweetcynic23, "STFU AND STFD, NIGEL." Oh my god, he was pissing me off ROYALLY tonight. Actually, both he and Mary were for over praising the Katee/Josh Broadway number. First off, I really dislike Katee and I think she's not as good a dancer and she clearly thinks she is. Also, it's one thing to get shown up by Joshua when you're doing a hip-hop, his specialty, but to also seem superfluous during a Broadway number? That's just plain sad. I was waiting for that Broadway number to get exciting and lo, it never happened.

Also - sorry, I love Twitch as much as the next suburban white girl, but, that Viennese Waltz was...what do you call it when people try to wrench as much sympathy as possible out of an audience? OH, RIGHT - MANIPULATIVE. Come on - of course the story of the choreographer's kid is sad, but does that mean the dance can't be criticized? NO NIGEL, IT DOESN'T. So when Mia has a valid point about fucking Kherington and her stupid smiling, just let it stand. For the record, I thought they did a beautiful job but the lift kind of blew. SORRY NIGEL. Oh, I'm not sorry at all.

Okay - let me take some deep cleansing breaths.

I really liked Matt/Kourtni's dance tonight. I thought it was super pretty and largely performed well. I think Matt really looked great out there.

I thought Mark/Chelsie's dance was super pretty. They have hit on something really cool with that coupling. Mark was lucky to get her because I think the judges would have it out for him Matt style if she wasn't there balancing him out.

And this is kind of weird for me, but I really liked the krump tonight. I think Chris did an admirable job and Comfort was not as annoying as last week. But nope, Nigel had to ruin that, too, and make fun of poor Chris.

Blah blah blah - I am concerning myself too much with this show. I had a crappy work day so that's my excuse. Hurry up, Friday! Oh wait, it's going to be 101 on Friday. DAMN.

Trying to get over a terrible headache, so why not procrasti-post a meme? Snagged from whirlygirly

Who was your FIRST prom date? Nobody! I didn't go to my prom. The guy I wanted to go with asked some other girl, then I asked this one guy I worked with and he was like, "Heh, no."

Do you still talk to your FIRST love? Not in a long while, but we are MySpace buddies.

What was your FIRST alcoholic drink? Other than "tasting" my mom's wine at various special occasions? My friend Crystal and I split a peach wine cooler once in high school. SPLIT. A. WINE. COOLER. HAHAHAHAA, that sounds so stupid now. I was not really an *~experimenter~*

What was your FIRST job? I baby-sat a ton, but my first job that gave me a real check was at McDonald's.

What was your FIRST car? 2000 Toyota Corolla that my mom let me take over her payments on. I think most of you know that I didn't start driving til I was 22.

Who was the FIRST person to text you today? Art surprised me with an early morning text.

Who is the FIRST person you thought of this morning? Myself. I am self-absorbed, okay?

Who was your FIRST grade teacher? Mrs. Weidner. The last teacher allowed to call me Susie. Once I matured to age 7, I started asking adults to call me Susan. She liked me a lot, and she told me I was smart all the time. Nice lady.

Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane? Oakland, CA. Not too far. My mom took me on a plane to visit my paternal grandma, who lived in Pleasant Hill. My mom blabbered to the flight attendants that it was my first flight and they gave me one of their Southwest pins to wear.

Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk? Her name was Lisa Lopez and we met in pre-school. We emailed a little bit around the date of our high school reunion two years ago, but no, we don't still talk.

Where was your FIRST sleep over? My first sleep-over was at my SECOND best friend's house - chellepear's! I still talk to her all the time.

Who was the FIRST person you talked to today? Art, since I guess Ella isn't technically a person.

Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time? My eldest brother and sister-in-law's Vegas extravaganza.

What was the FIRST thing you thought this morning? 'OWWWWW.' I woke up with a mean headache.

What was the FIRST concert you ever went to? George Michael. The Faith Tour, 1989. It was AWESOME and yes, I am hoping to see George again this summer.

FIRST tattoo or piercings? My mom had my ears pierced when I was six weeks old. Yes, WEEKS. I still have them!

FIRST foreign country you went to? Canada. Which isn't really foreign is it? I've also been to Mexico but Canada was my first trip off U.S. soil. I've never left North America but that's gonna change, dammit.

FIRST movie you remember seeing in the theaters? This is a tough one. Oh, it was probably Annie, in 1982. I loved that movie and I think I saw it in the theatre twice.

When was your FIRST detention? Junior high. Probably for something like not doing homework or whatever. I became a detention MAGNET in high school though, I even had to go to Saturday detention a couple times. Which is NOTHING like The Breakfast Club, mind you.

First state you lived in? California, California - you're such a wonder that I think I'll stay in bed

Who was your FIRST roommate? Art! I lived at home til I got married.

Who was your FIRST? OH, whoops. Personal question! Kevin. He lives in Idaho now.

Who do you think will be the next person to post this? I don't know, but you should! It's fun!

Headache's gone! And now it's time for lunch! YAY!

My new favorite website: PassiveAgressiveNotes.com. A week or so ago, I came across the site and lost a ton of time going through all the archives. People are so petty!

Now that American Idol is done for the year, it's time for the summer fun of So You Think You Can Dance. I was really excited for the show to come back and set my recording on my DVR for the show nearly two weeks ago. But, as this crappy (non-TiVo) DVR is wont to do, it "forgot." So I missed the first 25 minutes of the show and WAS SO MAD. Anyways...

First thing - WHY did they have to show Dominic on my television again? I had just told superbonbon4 earlier in the day that he was my most hated former contestant and BAM! there he is. EW. I object, SYTYCD, do not do that again.

It was an okay episode. It's embarrassing to admit, but I got a kick out of seeing Gold Inferno again. He cracked me up during last year's auditions and it got me again. The "jump style" - it's so innovative! Hahahah. No one really jumped out at me except for Asuka, the ballroom dancer who I dubbed Asian Ellen Page and of course that insane popper from the end of the episode, Robert. Oh, and I also liked the one black guy who danced to that Jill Scott spoken word. I was glad to see he passed the choreography round. Still, it was enough to keep me excited about the show. Looking forward to next week!

Oh, and I did the handwriting meme that's been going around.

1) Your handle/name/username
2) Left or right handed?
3) Favourite letters to write
4) Least favourite characters to write
5) Write "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog."
6) Tag 5 people

Yes, I am lazy and took the photo with my cell phone. <lj:music>Kevin and Bean show, "Prom Nightmares"</lj:music>

I am a failure! I didn't finish my 12 of 12 this month. But I have a great excuse! I started it, but then after work, I went to grab my camera and it wasn't in my purse! I figured I had left it at work so I just kind of blew off taking photos. The next morning I was getting in my car to go to work and the camera was right there, sitting on my passenger seat. D'oh! So, I'm toying with the idea of doing a 12 of 16 since it's my day off. I know, I'm a cheat.

So, exciting news - I bought a new car! Well, a new to me car. It's a 2006 Honda Civic coupe. Art and I had been a single car family for quite some time, but that wasn't quite working for us anymore, particularly since I have a ton of summer plans coming up. I'm kind of geeked out about this because I've never owned my own car before. My previous (and only) car was given to me by my mom (I just took over the payments) and after that I drove Art's cars. So this one is mine, all mine, and I feel like a grown-up. I took photos, but I'm too lazy to find my camera cord, so here is a stock photo. That's the same color and everything!

Office finale tomorrow! I am actually really excited which is more than I can say for pretty much anything else on tv. What a waste of 30 minutes HIMYM was this week and The Hills finale was so stupid it bordered on ridiculous. Wait, bordered?? Scratch that. That show needs more Brody.

Right now I'm reading Billion Dollar Kiss, a biography of a television writer, and I'm finding it fascinating. I really like the peek behind the scenes that the book offers, particularly since I've been a tv junkie for so long.

Oh - one last thing - is anyone else watching the Jeopardy! College Tournament?

Yesterday, they had a kid from Harvey Mudd College, which is located out where I used to live, and the kid mentioned he gave campus tours and that one time he had gotten lost on campus while giving a tour. I was dying laughing at hte story. I WISH they had mentioned that the school is roughly the size of a postage stamp. How on earth do you get lost there? Also, LOL that no one knew the answer to final Jeopardy.
<lj:music>Come Undone - Duran Duran</lj:music>

This showed up in my e-mail originally but I thought I could use it for LJ fodder. This is also me wasting time before I go to visit my mom.

Two names you go by:
1. Sus
2. Awesome Girl (I just made that up right now)

Two things you are wearing right now:
1. polka dot pajama pants
2. a striped t-shirt (yes, stripes and polka dots, I am a total fashionista)

Two of your favorite things to do:
1. talk trash
2. listen to music

Two things you want very badly at the moment:
1. some more cash!
2. a promotion

Two favorite pets you have had/have:
1. Gatsby, the little dog with a big (but faulty) heart
2. Ella, my little pup with a face that melts even the hardest hearts

Two people who will fill this out:
1. Probably
2. no one

Two things you did last night:
1. drank way too much wine - sorry if you received any drunk texts/calls! Or actually listened to the worst phone post ever before I smartened up and made it private.
2. fixed dinner

Two things you ate today:
1. egg mcmuffin - hangover breakfast of cheap champions
2. a hash brown that was not up to the usual awesome McDonald's standards

Two people you last talked to:
1. Heather
2. my mommy

Two things you're doing tomorrow:
1. Driving my new car (!) to work, so that I can pay for said new car
2. taking pictures for the 12 of 12!

The longest car rides:
1. Southern California to Blue Lake, where Chelle and Damon used to live. twelve. hours.
2. Pasadena to Chino, even if there's no traffic, the amount of dread makes the drive seem endless.

Two favorite holidays:
1. Valentine's Day - I love you! Also, I am a sap. Also, it's a week before my birthday. Also - HELLO chocolate and flowers!
2. Thanksgiving - mmm...food AND two paid days off work.

Two favorite vacations:
1. Seattle, 2007 - you know it's a good vacation when you seriously consider never going home.
2. Chicago, 2002 - i saw an amazing town through a haze of pitchers of beer and fantastic pizza

Two favorite beverages:
1. Mr. Pibb
2. a Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon

--You guys, I'm not going to lie, but I am actually NERVOUS about The Office finale on Thursday. What's going to happen?!
--I was horrified when I opened up the Sunday paper today to read the Twilight article (wait - that wasn't the horrifying part) and found a GIANT picture and article about Spencer and Heidi. That was so not on, LA Times. Proof of the horror!
--Possible unpopular opinion alert, but, I honestly would not care at all if Moonlight is not renewed this week. This past episode was so ridiculous, you guys. Jason (and Alex for that matter) deserve a lot more.

Crap - I need to get moving. I told my mom I'd be there in an hour or so.

Real life is not so fun right now, so how about some distractions?

The new Martha Wainwright album leaked a couple of weeks ago and I think it's a winner. She's playing the Troubadour in June and I am so there even though I made a resolution to only see live shows for artists I've never seen before. Screw that, it's Martha time!

Couple of tracks to preview: You Cheated Me and an oldie but goodie (plus new studio version) Jimi.

* * *

Did some retail therapy this weekend at Target (natch).

Monkey Shower Curtain! It is silly and probably not very mature, but it was too cute for me to resist. It makes me smile every time I see it.

New sheets! They were on sale and are soooo comfy. Little known sinca fact: I have a thing for polka dots.

* * *

Didn't watch Moonlight til today because honestly that show bores me. But, it ended up cheering me up so much that I'm glad I watched it. Here's a few caps from my favorite scene.

JOSEF: Now Beth, you wouldn’t want me to kiss and tell, would you?

JOSEF: So, what do you want me to do about this Foster character?

OH. The stare. It's a surefire winner every time.

(caps from Moonlight Love.com)

Weekend's over. I'm going to bed because tomorrow is sure to be another day.

I stayed up all night last night for the first time in a very long while. Since it's so hot and sunny I could only manage to sleep for about four hours and now I'm up and doing laundry. It is due to this punchy, half awake feeling that I am going to now post about the Twilight series. I am both sorry and excited! This is TOTAL CRACK that produced actual flailing - looking back I feel a little cheap and powerless, but whatevs.

I was going to write out thoughts book by book but I don't have the patience for that. We can flesh more thoughts out in the comments if you want.

*YES, OF COURSE - EDWARD CULLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I realize that Edward is technically "overprotective" but I have a real thing for protective (see one Logan Echolls) so it works for me and I don't care what anyone else thinks LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. Seriously though, when Edward just rolls up in Port Angeles to rescue Bella I was pretty much done for.

*But - I can't stand Bella. She is SO. ANNOYING. And so ungrateful. And SO EVERYTHING I CAN'T STAND. But I guess Edward loves her so we're stuck with her. Half the time I just kind of want Rosalie to kill her and get this over with. Or Jasper. She was such a bitch at her birthday party that I don't think Jasper attacked her by accident. He could FEEL THE UNGRATEFUL RADIATING OFF OF HER. Okay, so that's a bit harsh. I don't HATE her, but sometimes she can really drive me to a blind rage.

*Jacob Black. After I read New Moon, I got into a big old <s>argument</s> discussion with Heather about how I felt sorry for him, that I thought Bella was inadvertantly leading him on to get past her heartbreak, and that I didn't really understand Heather's total vitriol toward him. I was thinking, "The guy's just a kid and he's up against something (E/B's big love) that he can't understand." I mean, I understand the sting of unrequited love. But that all changed when I read,

His words cracked like snaps of a whip. "Anything. Anything else. You'd be better off dead.
I'd rather you were."

Oh HELLS no. And then his behavior just kind of deteriorates from there and now I get it. I GET IT and it's time for him to just go ahead and imprint.

Weirdly, I was most exhilarated by the series once I finished New Moon. The Romeo/Juliet parallel is played out, for sure, but I loved the scenes in Italy and how Bella correctly speculated that Edward isn't completely sure that he has no soul. That was an observation I had made myself and I felt all smart. And then I realized these books are marketed to people half my age. I liked Twilight enough to keep going on but I started feeling the obsession creep in after New Moon. Eclipse I really enjoyed reading, but the ending left me a bit cold and feeling like Bella isn't so sure about the choices she is making. Which in turn made me feel all rage-y and I called Heather to <s>scream about</s> calmly discuss it.

Quickly
-Alice is my super most favorite character ever ever EVER and definitely my favorite Cullen by far. She is a bad ass (GTA on a Porsche?!) and knows fashion. Obvs, she's going to be my favorite.
-Now I feel like I understand so many more references, mostly, aprilbegins's LJ header.
-I normally don't talk about what a horndog I am, but come on...all this chasteness KILLS ME. Forget virtue, GET IT ON, already!

So, I lost about five whole days to this cracktastic book series and now I've lost my mind. Bring it, other Twilight fans, let's talk this out. Also - link me to your reaction posts! Fave comms! Tell me your favorite cheesy lines! I fear my sanity is gone for the long haul.
